She came tonight and I hate her. Trying not to cry but can’t help by hate my body for not working. Just wishing for minimal pain and positive vibes this next time around….

Friday Inspiration

Sometimes we all need a little reminder to stay positive and never give up on our dreams. Each and every person has the power from within to make what they want happen. It might not be “perfect” or exactly as you imagined, but I strongly believe that you can do anything you put your mind and energy towards.

While I dream of one day starting my own company, my desire to become a mother trumps every other dream I have ever had. My husband knew when he married me that one of the most important things in my future was having kids. We used to joke we wanted to be able to field a hockey team and that we didn’t have enough names for all our future kiddies.

Now that “lots” doesn’t seem so likely, I still know that one day my hubby and I will bring home a beautiful baby of our own. Would I love for that to be 9 months from now and easy as pie? Of course. But I have realized in the past few months that no matter how hard you try, it just doesn’t work like that. But am I giving up? NEVER. Why? Because every day amazing things happen and soon enough, it will be our turn. A few weeks ago it was Rion’s turn…

This video is amazing for so many reasons… a child that many in society unfairly cast off is proving stereotypes wrong and achieving his dreams; the love and sheer happiness in his parent’s voices and how you can feel how proud they are of him;  the smile he gives his mother as she tells him he’s going to be a Clemson Tiger; how his eyes widen and glow when he hears his father read the words “Congratulations” – every second is absolutely beautiful. I have watched it at least 10 times and cry like a baby every single time.

I hope that one day I am able to share my dreams with my kids and encourage them to discover their own. I hope I can be a supportive and loving mother who helps her babies do anything they put their minds to. When the going gets tough, I pray I can stand by their side as they learn and grow from their struggles. And I dream of sharing such a special moment as seen in this video with my child.

Rion, you’re amazing and I hope you enjoy every second of your college experience, you deserve it!! Congratulations on being an positive role model and inspiration for us all!!!
